Apart from the entrepreneurial zeal shown by Mr. Sushil Mantri, his commitment to give back to the society has been remarkable. He initiated “Mantri S.E.V.A. (Supporting and Encouraging Voluntary Actions)”, a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative aimed at community service. Mantri S.E.V.A has carried out a number of activities in the realm of Civic & Social Development, Education, Social Aid and Green Initiatives.

Here are few activities undertaken by Mantri S.E.V.A. in the recent years:

  • Mantri Developers, south India’s leading real estate developer initiated Swachh Bengaluru drive to make Bengaluru one of the best cities to live in. In the recent past the city has emerged as a metropolitan hotspot, Swachh Bengaluru is a monthly initiative supported by Mayor, Samarthanam Trust for disable, Indus community school children, Police personnel, BBMP staff, Pourakarmikas and residents of Mantri properties.
  • In March 2014, Mantri S.E.V.A, along with Samiksha Foundation, organized a one-day fun-filled program for hundreds of children affected by cancer.
  • In February 2014, Mantri S.E.V.A in association with Karnataka Sports Association organized the 6th Paralympics Sports Championship for the physically handicapped. The event held in Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore, was attended by over 800 physically challenged athletes
  • In May 2013, Mantri S.E.V.A. organized Kalamkari Art exhibition with the aim of empowering women.
  • In July 2013, Mantri S.E.V.A. joined hands with Vidyaranya and organized a gift collection drive for underprivileged/mentally challenged kids.
  • In August 2013, Mantri S.E.V.A. in association with 'Gift Your Organ' organized an organ donation campaign.

In 2005, Mr. Mantri adopted three village panchayat schools across various parts of rural Bangalore for a period of five years. Initiatives were also taken to reduce student dropout rates in public schools. This was done by providing mid-day meals and free uniforms. Special scholarship programs for girl students were initiated to encourage literacy among them. Students from the underprivileged sections of the society were provided with study materials/books. Mr. Mantri also engaged with parents to reinforce the importance of education.

In an effort to bring quality education to children from below-poverty-line families, Mr. Mantri set up a school with all modern amenities for such underprivileged children at Bangalore. To ensure that children are tech-savvy, every student from grade 1 onwards was provided with a laptop.

Besides giving assistance to schools, funds were allocated to deserving and needy students studying in Architecture & Engineering Colleges.

Mr. Mantri also makes positive contributions to the society in the realms of civic development and environmental conservation, which include green initiatives. As part of this initiative, several parks in Bangalore were adopted by Mantri.

Mr. Mantri’s vision has enabled Mantri Developers adopt green technology and environmentally sustainable building practices.

Under Mr. Mantri’s leadership, company installed 11 windmills in Hassan. Power generated from these windmills is used to supply electricity to houses in the surrounding villages.

As a welfare initiative, free eye, dental, and health check-up camps are organized for construction workers in all Mantri projects in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. After the check-up, adequate medication is given to the workers.
